This record documents the marriage between Arthur Nelson and Ada Hooper on February 4, 1903. At the time of their union (both parties’ first marriage), Arthur was 23 and Ada was 20. Arthur is listed as a clerk from Newport, NH, and Ada a teacher from Unity, NH. The second page of this document describes the biographical information of their parents: Hial Nelson, Ida Farr, John Hopper, and Flora Wheeler. Arthur and Ada would go on to have 6 children together before Ada’s death in 1924.
