Description
This official census record from Goshen, Sullivan, New Hampshire, depicts the state of the Nelson Family in 1920. Listed on the document are Hial Nelson (71), Ida Nelson (65), and their two granddaughters, Doris (8) and Ruth (4). Doris and Ruth were the daughters of the third Nelson boy, Walter, and his first wife, Cora M. Andrews. At the time this census was taken, Walter already had two more children with his second wife, Elizabeth M. Morgan. It is unclear why Doris and Ruth were staying with their grandparents.
